One of my favorite episodes for sure, and one of the most iconic murder weapons. It’s nice to have Shinichi back for a bit, his older design and voice have always been so cute to me.

And him teasing Ran and having an obvious crush is really cute.

I like the way this episode was framed to where you couldn’t tell when the flashback started. It was really fun.

A one hour special with SHINICHI IN IT!!!?';!';+&_!:'!! It may just be a flashback but HES HERE!!!!! Finally the main character makes another appearance it was about time

I really like the way they transitioned from present to the past. It was quite seamless

wires in bras, even back then weren't exactly... everywhere in every type and manufacturer. so, him asking Ran about how they work, where the wire is, how long it is, how prevalent wires are is a VERY risky set of questions for a teen boy... especially Ran... ;) karate CHOP! and he's out like a light-switch for the rest of the flight. ;)

i personally thought the weapon had been flushed in one of the toilets or jabbed into the cushions of one of the empty plane seats. the 'blue water' used on planes back in the 1990's was designed to start... processing... solid human waste and the paper products used to 'clean up' afterwards. so that could have destroyed any evidence on the weapon.

i also wondered if she was hiding it inside one of her tampons. either the one she was presently using (inside her) or one in her luggage. remember, the girls were searched by stewardesses NOT police-women. flight attendants aren't taught how to check folks. so asking a suspect to remove said personal hygiene product would be rather rude. but none were mentioned, WHY none of those ladies had one i am quite surprised! girls ALWAYS travel with their favorite 'brand' and 'type' if at all possible. anywhere within 7-10 days of when she 'starts'. of course, depending on how 'regular' her cycle is. if the weapon was hidden inside an unused tampon she could have just gently pushed it through the plastic wrapper and into the cotton batting. all depending on how long the weapon was. that tiny hole wouldn't be easily noticed. plus the 'plastic applicator' most tampons have to 'insert it inside' correctly would disguise the fact that a weapon was inside the cotton batting.

all in all, this one was a very intricately written and well-thought-out episode. much higher quality than the normal Conan episodes so far.

Omg yeah! Even just asking about underwire bras would be pretty risky, but straight up "show me your bra" is even worse!! I wonder how Ran didn't punch Shinichi right then and there

And those are some really good theories! The cushion and toilet ones are quite plausible. The police would probably check them after time, but it'd sure take a while, and (assuming she wiped the prints off for the cushion one) they still wouldn't know who did it.
And that tampon one is really good! Yeah there's no way a stewardess would check the inside of a tampon. I'd be worried about accidentally using said tampon, but she could just check for that small hole in the packaging since she knows it's there. And if she's brave enough to use it, there's no way that's being found! And, now that you mention, it is a bit odd none of them had any of those hygiene products with them, unless they knew for sure it wasn't coming soon

And yeah I totally agree! This episode's trick was really good, it's always stuck with me

While I immediately realized the trick with the empty seat and also what the murder weapon was, I just couldn't figure out why his pockets were wet.

I'm pretty disappointed by this episode, i mean "yayyyy we got see shinichi" but that's..... all? i expected more since it was teased as 1 hour SPECIAL.. there's nothing special about this episode other than shinichi cameo, and as the last episode of season 6, it's kinda mediocre, the last episode of season 5 was haibara's introduction and was an EPIC episode but this.... just meh. i'm fr disappointed.
especially when you watch a whole season with over 25 episodes expecting some main story progression but yeah... we get what we get i'm still excited for what's to come

Shinichi is so cute, it's been so long since we've seen him too. I bet that wasn't actually the victim sitting next to her but the guy behind them. lol the "Yes, my child." I was right, but I though he was the killer until towards the end.
